You'd have heard of and seen Anna Sui makeup, Anna Sui fashion eyewear but have you tried Anna Sui contact lenses?

I believe these have been around in Japan and Hong Kong since last year but it's only recently Spectacle Hut Singapore brought these pretties into Singapore.

 

With Anna Sui's signature rose patterns, these fashion circle lenses are an elegant complement to your MOTD. They come in various power (ranging from 0-800 degrees), so it's awesome for myopic people like myself.

In Singapore, Anna Sui Roses 1-Day Disposable Color Contact Lenses are available exclusively at Spectacle Hut for SGD25 per box of 10 daily disposables. Available in black, grey, brown and purple. My personal favourites are purple and grey, as pictured below.

MY THOUGHTS

The purple ones represent the signature Anna Sui colour, and they are just so pretty even in the box, hence it is a must-try!  One thing to note: the purple colour is subtle and when worn, it may sometimes be reflected as indigo or black colour instead of true purple.

Surprisingly, the grey ones stood out more on me as you can see in the pictures here. The rose motifs are quite apparent from a distance, and they look gorgeous and mesmerizing!

Although Anna Sui Roses Disposable Contact Lenses are full circle lenses which produce eye-enhancing effects/ enlarge your irises, however, they are much more natural-looking than other circle lenses - and this may be too subtle for some veteran users of cosmetic lenses. For ladies who want natural bambi-eyes (with "roses in your eyes", no less!) - this is perfect for you.

Comfort-wise, I think it's really good given that my eyes' base curvature is flatter than normal folks' (I had experienced much discomfort with some other brands!) and these lenses did not pose any problems at all after 5 hours of wearing. 

Priced at SGD25 per box of 10 daily disposable lenses - a little heftier than usual, but I personally think the novelty & beauty is well-worth the price tag.

How to choose makeup that complement Anna Sui lenses?

Makeup used with my Anna Sui Purple Lens

1. Select complementary eyeshadow shades such as dark purple, lilac, coral, soft peachy-pinks, grey or silver. 
2. Avoid greens if you are wearing purple lenses; and avoid copper & bright pinks for grey lenses.
3. Semi-Smokey eye makeup is perfect to go with these lenses! If smokey is not your thing, just draw a thicker eyeliner.
4. Ditch your brown mascara - they will be 'too natural' for these lenses. Play up your lashes either with lengthening black mascara, or falsies for the evening!
