 Oh wow, the press kit didn't only wow-ed my brows.

Maybelline Singapore just launched a new range of brow grooming tools, aiming to perfect your brows in a fuss-free manner.

Three products being introduced: Fashion Brow Pomade, Fashion Brow Ultra Fluffy and Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer. Behind these cute fancy names, they can be translated to brow crayon, brow pencil and brow mascara respectively.

Fashion Brow Pomade - Maybelline's 1st Brow crayon

Available in 4 shades : BR-1, BR-2, BR-3, BR-4

Sculpts, tames and colour brows in one simple sweep. Creamy wax-based formula glides on smoothly and leaves a soft, matte finish. 

MY THOUGHTS

This chubby stick glides on smoothly and colour + tame the brows quickly without much fuss. The only catch is, since it is a thick crayon, it is tricky to shape your brows with only this tool in hand.  You'll need another pencil type for that matter; and most importantly - a spool brush thereafter. The creamy wax feels kinda tacky before it is fully dried, so keep in mind to draw your brows in one direction or else your natural hairs will be quite messed up.

Another thing I didn't like about this product is the need to "sharpen" it when it eventually wears down, and there is no proper tool provided to do so. I'd imagine using a clean penknife or probably a piece of tissue paper?

Tip: Use crayon at 45 degrees for best control! Brush through your brow hairs after drawing to neaten up.

Fashion Brow Ultra Fluffy

Retractable brow pencil with a tear drop tip to help shape a natural precise tail of the brows. 

MY THOUGHTS

The unique tear-drop tip is indeed a game changer! Drawing natural arched brows, or straight brows with a soft arched tail has never been easier. The gel-to-powder formula means natural looking brows with no fall outs like some powder types; and I am surprised this last me through a day with no touch up required. And I have oily skin. Wow #browsonfleek is finally happening to me!

Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer

Available in 2 shades: Deep Brown and Soft Brown

Maybelline's first gel formula fiber-infusing filling brow mascara. Designed to boost brow colour & volume to produce a 3-dimensional effect.

MY THOUGHTS

This product is something unique to Maybelline and probably also in the makeup market. We see a lot of Japanese & Korean brow mascaras but one that contains fiber? Almost unheard of.

I like how natural and 3D my brows look after application. It can be used alone, but I recommend using it after you already shaped your brows with a pencil, to complete the total look. Although this product is marketed as one to create "bold & defined, dramatic brows" - I'll say, not really. Unless you are using the darkest shade then maybe.

Anyhows, I like it and will top it with another brow product for on-point brows!

Tip: Apply in short,  upward strokes!
