Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Collection 30 Years Limited Edition: Review, Swatches, MOTD.

A sweet kickstart to 2017 -  a wonderful new collection by Guerlain! To celebrate 30 years since the launch of the original Meteorites Pearls, the brand introduces a limited edition collection that takes on a rosy glow and packaged in pearly pastel goodness.

This gorgeous collection offers four limited edition pieces - all of which caught the attention of beauty lovers especially long-timed avid collectors of Guerlain Météorites!

 

I didn't purchase the lippies so I swatched at the counter just to show you.

With the main theme colours as rosy pink & soft pastels, the matching iridescent exterior packaging completes the overall etheral beauty of the entire collection. As usual, all items are infused with the signature violet scent of Meteorites.

The showstopper centrepiece is the magic pot of Happy Glow Meteorites Pearls which is known to give radiance to the complexion. For cheeks, we have Meteorites Happy Glow Blush, the first ever pressed Meteorites blusher from Guerlain. In addition, two new pink shades are added to the Kiss Kiss line - #564 Pearly Pink and #565 Blossom Glow to dress up your lips for Spring! (Won't be reviewing the lipsticks in this post, as I do not own them yet.)

Météorites Happy Glow Pearls - Light Revealing Powder Pearls

 

In every Météorites Pearls, is a unqiue combination of color-correcting and brightening pearls aiming to reduce the signs of fatigue and restore the natural radiance to the skin. The largest-sized "Rainbow Glow" pearls amplify light with multicolored pearl particles; while the 3 other colors each has their own function: Champagne to reflect the warmth of the light, Purple to neutralize yellow and Pink to brighten a dull complexion.

My Personal Thoughts: Compared to previous Météorites Pearls, this one has the most matte finish in my opinion. It instantly brightens a dull complexion for sure, but it looks satin matte (lesser shimmers) on skin than its predecessors; and is perfect as a setting powder even for oilier skin types. It has got good hold over a day's wear and ages well even under humid weather.

Guerlain first ever pressed  2-in-1 product - both a blush and highlighter, ideal for a quick boost of radiance. With the same "Rainbow Glow" technology, where the pearls bring a subtle dimension of light thanks to the multi-colored pearl particles; Pink pearls are there for a refreshing effect and Fuchsia pearls brings back the skin's healthy flush.

My Personal Thoughts: This piece is another stunner! So exquisite to hold in the palms of your hands - feels like you're handling a precious piece of seashell that you have just picked up from the beach. I love the mosaic pattern of the blush shade + the highlighting powders. It is just so pleasing to look at, like admiring a piece of art. Since this is a 2-in-1 product, the pigment of a blush is definitely not as strong as a regular blush. Might not be suitable for darker skin tones, but on fair-medium skin tones, it shows up as a pretty nuance of romantic pink on the cheeks. Very beautiful...just like Spring itself.
