Seasons Greetings! It's the time of the year, where all good tidings and all pretty, blingy things happen!
Avid makeup collectors in Singapore will be pleased to know that Givenchy is launching their beautiful Christmas makeup collection LES NUANCES GLACÉES in November 2015.
There are four items in this collection: eyeshadow palette, lipstick, mascara and liquid eyeliner.
I was invited to a bloggers' event at Etude House two months ago. It was really fun and thanks to Etude House Singapore's generosity, I got to play with a lot of their latest products. After using for some weeks, I decided to write about their Bling Me Prism Collection.
This
cute limited edition collection is a collaboration between Etude House
and Korean accessories brand, High Cheeks. "High Cheeks" suggests the
action of smiling, hence you can expect this brand to exude lotsa fun,
colour vibes with brightly coloured pop art designs incoporated into
their products.
Bling Me Prism Collection reflects such cute, playful & quirky graphics on their packaging. The collection consists of Bling Me Prism Color in Liquid Lips, Bling Me Prism Nails and their new liquid eyeshadow - Bling Me Prism Eyes!
Bling Me Prism Color in Liquid Lips: Thoughts & Swatches
Similiar concept like its predecessor Etude House in Liquid Lips, this range of lippies is also a hybrid of lipstick and lip gloss. The only difference is the texture and the finish. This range has a water-sliding texture that feels lightweight and produces a glowy finish. The best part is the colour doesn't accidentally stick to your front tooth, unlike the previous edition which did so to me. (Horrors!)
Personal thoughts:I really enjoy using these babies. Not just because of the nice texture, but also the vibrant colours simply brighten one's face in a single pop. After a day, colour settles onto the lips with a beautiful, subtle stain that makes your lips look naturally tinted and pouty! Love it!

Bling Me Prism Eyes: Thoughts & Swatches
The Bling me Prism Eyes is a water-based eye colour that is used like an eyeshadow. It has an applicator which makes application easy-peasy, without smudging! The hologram pigment and crystal pearl add a touch of sparkle to the eyes for a bling effect.
Personal thoughts: Product glides on and dries rather quickly, so if you are going to use your fingers to blend it out a little for a softer look, I suggest you do so quickly... OR a better alternative is to utilise a good eyeshadow blending brush. Using fingers can get kinda messy and you may end up having undefined, cloudy eyeshadow on your lids . It takes a bit of practise to get it right, but when you do, the colours are pretty and they really make your eyes stand out.

Here's my MOTD using the Etude House Bling Me Prism Lips & Eyes collection.
Tom Ford Moodlight Skin Illuminating Powder Duo has been a recent favourite of the Instagram beauty community. Since its availability in Singapore in August '15, stocks were snapped up fast. I got mine couple of months ago but has only gotten round to writing about it now. (I apologise for the delay, I was really tied up back in September & October!)
This baby consists of two shades :
Moodlight (Daylight) - a pale whitish gold with a luminous sheen. This colour goes on sheer & natural, and is buildable to a metallic cream sheen. It wears well on most skin tones, creating a natural dimension to facial features without the usual harshness of a white highlighter. As the name subtly suggests, wearing this during the day is a breeze.
Moodlight (Candlelight) - a soft, rose gold with a metallic sheen. It looks pinker in the pan than it really is when applied. On my warm skin tone, it reflects more of a brownish beige tone. Still natural-looking, but significantly more obvious as compared to Daylight. I personally use this on my eyelids more than any other part of my face. I get more generous with application during the night time with this shade though.

Unboxing this product was a thrill, as with unboxing any one of Tom Ford makeup items. From the exterior paper box, the velvet pouch to the casing, the high-quality feel of each segment of this unboxing experience is unparallel to any other brands. (My only complaint is why haven't they have their own TOM FORD paper bag for their cosmetics? Or is it just Singapore?)
This Tom Ford Moodlight Skin Illuminating Powder Duo also holds a decent amount of product that you know you will probably take three lifetimes to finish! The powder is silky fine and is well-pressed so it doesn't flake off and mess up your compact. Armed with a mirror and NO brushes, you will need to prepare a good-quality highlighter brush before you dip into this "pot of gold".
Here's how I use TF Illuminating powder to strobe/highlight my face. Click on the 1 minute long video:
Hope you enjoy this post (especially the video! Haha!) as much as I did creating it. It's my first time doing a video so it looks super amateur but I am hoping to get better at this with time, and posting more on Youtube in future!
Let me know how you think in the box below! Alternatively, if you like this post, you can just give me a thumbs-up on the video itself on Youtube. Thank you lovelies!!
Tugged away at a quiet corner of City Plaza, a mall famous for its wholesale fashion shopping, Secret Beauty is a cosy, unassuming salon, providing full manicure/pedicure services as well as eyelash extension services.

Take a quick glimpse on the right of the above photo, you will see that their prices are very reasonable.
On the right side of the shopfront lies a display of the sample nail art. The designs are so pretty! Even if I hadn't been following Secret Beauty Instagram for a while, just merely passing by this pretty little nail parlor will certainly draw my attention already.
Let's head into the salon itself and check out its interior!
I was pretty stoked when I heard Too Faced was launching its Born This Way Foundation on 7 August 2015 in Singapore. I have read and heard good reviews about it since its launch in the US, from my western counterparts through social media and the internet. I took a quick glimpse of the ingredients and saw that it contains good stuff for the skin. Hence, I was determined to purchase it as soon as it reaches my local shores.
After using this for some days, I decided to review this product which has made me pin for months.
This oil-free foundation is medium-buildable-to-full coverage. Too Faced markets it as a foundation that acheive results of skin that "wake up like this". It promises to blur out your complexion imperfections and give you naturally radiant skin that people will think that you were born this way. #IWokeUpLikeThis #BornThisChio
Very catchy.
Anyways, here comes some swatches ( not done by me):

Looks pretty pigmented eh? And above swatches are only a portion of the entire collection of 18 shades. You will surely find a shade match. So before you go "Gaga" about this like I did, let's look at some pictures of ME in it.
Recently I was gifted a set of Lancôme Advanced GénifiqueSeries by LancômeSingapore and Her World Beauty Clubto
complete a 7-Day trial. Blogging a review on my blog wasn't part of the requirement
but I thought I'll gladly do this because I am sure my blog readers/ Lancôme fans/
skincare lovers/ those looking for anti-aging skincare will love to know
how does this new updated version of the famous Lancôme Advanced Génifique Series fare. The three products I am reviewing here are namely:
As some of my frequent blog visitors know, I went on several overseas trips in Summer (June/July '15). Some of which were my husband's work trips that I merely tagged along, on his airline employee benefits. I visited San Francisco for a period of 4 days as part of a flight pattern that connects to Seoul. I did not have the time (or energy) to venture too far out in San Francisco, mainly due to shortage of time and that I fell ill that few days. With the limited time I had, I hopped around the city and one area that gave me the fondest memory was at Fisherman's Wharf. I visited Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 and discovered a restaurant that I really love.

I did not prepare for this trip nor did I do any prior homework on what to eat/what to do/where to sight-see. I just walked to wherever I felt like back then and allowed San Francisco to surprise me (which it did, in many ways, both positive & negative). So one pleasant experience that I want to share with you is the dining adventure we had at Franciscan Crab Restaurant.
Looking at this menu item, I was sold!
Did Marilyn Monroe and other famous celebs of yesteryear actually graced this restaurant? WOW.
Interior is decked in red and white - exudes a cosy yet classy feel.
Hubby took photos of this image right out of a magazine.
The restaurant seems to look more vibrant at night.
Daytime's laid-back atmosphere... of course it has to since it resides near the sea!
Strategically located at the wharf along the bay area of San Francisco, with a ship theme, Franciscan Crab Restaurant serves a huge variety of seafood - fresh, huge and juicy!
Their star focus is mainly on crabs, but the other seafood types are just as tantalizing. Check out the menu below...

Since we are Asians, a single food portion in most western countries is more than enough for both of us. Plus the fact we already had brunch (and my hubby doesn't like seafood. Boo.), this is probably like a late lunch for me alone... so we just placed an order for double shrimp & double crab on iron skillet.
Yes, I finished all these by myself!
It's a shame we couldn't order more but if I could, I'd have ordered all these as well....
